GPI Ambassadors


  • Calder Clay (R) :  Calder Clay is a successful businessman and political leader from the heart of Georgia. Having served on the Macon City Council and as a state leader in his party, Calder ran one of the closest races in the country for Congress in 2002. Calder has a great heart for public service and humanitarian relief work. His knowledge of organizational networking and fundraising will be vital to GPI as it grows and meets new challenges.

  • Carolyn Grant (R) :  Carolyn Grant hails from North Carolina and has achieved much success in both business and politics. Building successful businesses in Raleigh, Carolyn was elected to serve as Raleigh, North Carolina’s President of the Chamber of Commerce. Widely known and respected as a community activist and leader, Carolyn’s organizational skills and knowledge greatly benefit GPI. Carolyn was her party’s nominee for Congress in 2002.

  • Hon. Chellie Pingree (D) :  As a former leader of the Maine State Senate, Chellie Pingree boasts credentials from business and government. From North Haven, Maine, Shellie brings to GPI a vast knowledge of public policy and unique skills in her role as a volunteer GPI Ambassador. A recent nominee of her party on the state ballot, Shellie commands great respect from the Great State of Maine.

  • Hon. Ronnie Shows (D) :  For over two decades Ronnie Shows has served the people of Mississippi in various capacities of public service most recently as a United States Congressman. As a former teacher, coach, state Senator and Transportation Commissioner, Ronnie brings grassroots knowledge, and common-sense experience to GPI as well as expertise on Capitol Hill in Washington.

  • John Lawrence (R) :  Dr. John Lawrence brings an incredible blend of knowledge and experience to GPI from his days as a leader at NASA’s Space Flight Center in Houston, Texas. John is widely respected as a deep thinker, problem solver, and network builder. John and his wife Mary Ellen are both involved with GPI. As his party’s nominee for Congress in 2002, John is no stranger to politics. John will work in the Embassy in Washington handling managerial and communications duties.

  • Tom and Camille Reiser (R) :  As a successful Texas businessman and entrepreneur, Tom Reiser not only brings political acumen to GPI, but skills of the marketplace. Tom and his wife Camille are both GPI volunteers. In 2002, Tom ran an exciting race as his party’s nominee for the US House against a tough incumbent. Tom and Camille bring multiple talents to GPI’s programs.
