Global Peace Summit
On September 17th-19th of 2003, GPI will hold its inaugural Global Peace Summit in Washington, D.C. We are anticipating that over 1,000 people from dozens of countries will gather for this three day conference to discuss wide ranging issues from HIV/AIDS to clean water initiatives to developing new methodology for the placement of the world’s street orphans into loving homes. Several Members of the U.S. Congress, as well as leaders of governmental bodies from around the world have committed to gather in September to support world peace by supporting GPI and its mission.
GPI will make this Global Peace Summit an annual event at different venues around the world. In September, we expect no less than five heads of state to be in attendance as well as some of the world’s leading business executives and non-profit leaders. The summits will attempt to blend the different disciplines of religion, government and business with the grassroots networks of GPI to create a more formidable force for peace in the world.
A special tribute to the life of Mother Teresa is expected as GPI celebrates her life and the success of GPI’s Little Teresa’s Program and women who are helping change the world.
Details of the conference and invitations are being sent out. If you, or your organization are interested in being a part of this historic event, please contact the GPI Embassy office in Washington.
