Disaster Relief
Global Peace Initiative has built a solid reputation and is playing a strong role in disaster relief around the world. GPI is committed to going anywhere people are suffering. Dan Rather on CBS Evening News chronicled GPI’s massive effort following a disastrous typhoon in Orissa, India. GPI was also on the scene after the September 11th terrorist attack in New York City.
GPI’s mobile clinics provide emergency medical care and disaster relief supplies in times of calamity. Global Peace One, GPI’s Boeing 747-SP, can airlift 76,000 pounds of critical supplies anywhere on earth in a matter of hours—not days. GPI’s team of millions of grassroots volunteers augment the organization’s formal staff in providing relief to millions of people one village or city at a time.
