Faith & Service
His public life began in Christian ministry. His published biography traces that calling from village outreach in India to an international ministry centered on hope, reconciliation and service.
Commonly known as K.A. Paul, Dr. K.A. Paul is the President of the Global Peace Initiative and an international evangelist, humanitarian and peace advocate.
Born Kilari Anand Paul in Andhra Pradesh, India, he grew up in a family whose life became rooted in Christian faith. As a young man, he joined his father in village outreach before beginning a ministry of his own. That early commitment to service developed into a wider mission focused on peace, humanitarian action and dialogue.
His published chronology records his ordination in 1983, the founding of Gospel to the Unreached Millions in India, and the organization’s later establishment in the United States. Today, he leads the Global Peace Initiative from Houston, bringing faith leaders, public officials and communities together around human dignity and peaceful cooperation.
"Peace is the Foundation.
Prosperity is the Result.
Unity is the Strength."
Across decades of ministry and public advocacy, Dr. Paul has presented peace as more than an ideal: a responsibility expressed through service, dialogue and care for people living through hardship. The Global Peace Initiative continues that work by convening leaders and supporting humanitarian programs.

A May 2004 cover story in The New Republic asked why “the world’s most popular evangelist” could not gain the same recognition in America. The original archival cover is shown here as a record of that media profile.
